Hatha Focus Series - Sitting Postures, Forward Bends & Twists (4 Week Course)
Starts Thursday 22nd June
8.15pm - 9.30pm at Clifton Library
Teacher: Rory Viggers
(Suitable for all levels except for complete beginners)
Working through a series of classical asanas, we will apply principles of rooting, centering, aligning, bandhas, elongating and breath awareness to better understand the dynamics of sitting postures, forward bends and twists.
Forward bends can be challenging and potentially dangerous if practiced incorrectly. We will look at how to approach such practices safely using the aforementioned vital principles.
Focusing on a range of forward bends, we will also look at seated, kneeling postures and twists and work with preparatory practices for Padmasana (lotus).
Open to all levels, this 4 week course is suitable for those who have completed a beginners course to regular and intermediate practitioners who would like to go deeper into their asana practice.
