I have just returned from another inspiring week of study with one of my teachers, Dona Holleman, in the magical Italian hills. Having dedicated the past 60+ years of her life to the practice, with a large period of that committed to a 6 hour daily practise, there are few teachers alive today who have such a wealth of knowledge and wisdom of the human body. It's a privilege to have the opportunity to train with her.
A full yoga class schedule will run until Sunday 17th December. (There may be a few classes between this date and new year, keep checking the class booking schedule). The new year programme resumes on Monday 1st January 2018 with a special yoga retreat day. Working through a full range of practices in both the morning and afternoon, we hope you can join us! Start the year with full power! Details and reservations here.
Backbends are one of the more hazardous yoga asana sets as more often than not people practice them incorrectly. The architecture of such postures very much depends on where the backbend begins. Supine, vertical, inverted and prone backbends all have a different starting point. This Saturday 2nd December is the final 'enlightened asana' workshop of the year and explores 'Simple Backbends'. We will look at the technical application, anatomy and movement of the body as well as other practices to enhance such asanas. There are only a few spaces left so please see here to reserve your mat space if you'd like to attend.
Gift cards are now available through our website. They can be redeemed against classes, workshops, courses or retreats.
The first courses of 2018 resume in January. The Beginners Course starts on the 10th and the Foundation Course on the 18th.
See you on the mat
