Our annual Sadhana Yoga weekender returns this August with the primary focus being YOU. Immerse yourself in yogic practices, nurture yourself and dive deep into practise. Enjoy the surrounding Devon countryside, eat delicious wholesome food, take a sauna and find the space to breathe.

There will be a full daily programme of yoga practice. See below for the sample schedule. Dory & Rory will host the weekend and hold the space. We look forward to welcoming you.

Yoga Sadhana.
This retreat is geared towards yoga. Across the three days we will immerse ourselves in a variety of practices; Asana, Pranayama, Kriyas, Mantra, Sutras, Meditation and more. 

Location.
Just two miles from Totnes, Eden Rise provides a beautiful environment for this Sadhana weekend. Neighbouring land includes wooded fringes, the Harbourne river, sculptures and shrines and the Santa Rosa labyrinth.

Teachers.

Dory Walker.
Dory has experienced the true spirit of yoga as transformational practice. She believes in the power of yoga to guide conscious evolution, individually and collectively. Certified to advanced level and teaching full time since 2001, Dory has trained with various yoga schools, amongst them Sivananda (traditional hatha Yoga), Satyananda (yoga nidra and meditation), Khrishnamakarya (Vedic Chant) and Dona Holleman (enlightened asana work), as well as studying yoga therapy with the Biomedical Trust. Dory teaches retreats and teacher training programmes internationally. Through her own practice Dory has discovered that regular practice promotes effective, positive and healthy living and is inspired to help others establish a strong practise in their own lives. She believes strongly in making the yoga (union) adventure joyful, keeping it light and remembering to laugh! Dory teaches classes, courses and private tuition around Bristol, the South West and London. She is a dedicated yogini and mother.

Rory Viggers.
Many years of yoga self practise has kept Rory grounded. As the positive and transformative effects from yoga became more profound, the journey to teaching was a natural progression. He now shares his experience of self empowerment, self purpose and self reflection that yoga initiates with others.

Inspired by classical teachings of Hatha yoga in disciplines that include Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Satyananda, Dona Holleman's enlightened asana work and Shaolin Wushu martial arts, his classes encompass a full range of yoga practices.

He continues to study with senior teachers and is currently embarking on a 7 year study with Dona Holleman and her inspirational Centered Yoga philosophy (born from her personal experience and encounter with Krishnamurti’s philosophy, B.K.S. Iyengar’s Hatha Yoga, Castaneda’s shamanic religion and her friendship with Vanda Scaravelli).

Accommodation.
Accommodation for this retreat is shared twin rooms or mini dorms. Rooms are simple, eco-painted and most have doors to the courtyard garden or upper terrace. Camping is also available, please bring your own tent. The retreat centre and accommodation is perfect for a sadhana retreat. All bathrooms are shared. 

There is also a sauna room for guests to use.

All meals will be organic and vegetarian. Please do advise when booking of any dietary needs.

Please bring your own top and bottom sheet, pillow case and towel. If you need linen this can be rented for £7.
