About Vigla Village.
The first thing to strike you about Vigla Village is it's sublime location on the Ionian Coast of the Greek island of Kefalonia. It's a feast for the senses as you take in the intoxicating smell of the pine and eucalyptus trees and the crystal clear, deep blue of the Ionian sea. Coupled with the welcoming and open-hearted Greek hospitality of Anna and Angelos, you cannot help but begin to relax as soon as you arrive.
Perched high on a clifftop, the clean and comfortable apartments with private balconies, overlook the inspiring panorama. Just a short stroll away you can take the picturesque path down to Vigla's own private beach and the warm and inviting sea.
Vigla Village simply blows you away; it's the sort of place that you want to come back to time after time.
The daily programme.
Each day will begin with a flowing asana class on our wonderful yoga platform overlooking the endless blue ocean, opening the body and attuning the mind to the breath.
Morning practice will be followed by a hearty breakfast. Then you will be free to head off down to the beach, relax by the pool or explore the stunning beauty of the surroundings.
The group will meet again in the late afternoon for a second more restorative yoga session, often including pranayama and meditation as part of the practise. The classes will be suitable for all levels and yoga experience. There will be one yoga free day during the week.
In the evenings, there are a few charming traditional Greek tavernas within walking distance of Vigla. Lunch and dinner aren't included in the cost to give people the option to go for dinner as a group or self cater if they prefer, each apartment has a small kitchen.

My friends and I had a wonderful time in Kefalonia with Dory. The venue was utterly beautiful: a little piece of paradise.Jill
Just back from the Kefalonia retreat. It has been a fantastic trip. Dory is an excellent teacher with a very in-depth knowledge of yoga and what involves. Myself and my daughter are just beginners but we didn't feel at all out of place during the yoga sessions. We also met fabulous Ana, friendly, well organised and accommodating. The location could not have been better. Amazing views and great restaurants and food. All in all an experience we would like to repeat in the future.Rosario
I had a wonderful week practicing yoga on Kefalonia with Dory. The view from the yoga platform looking out to sea was beautiful. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of it. Our host Anna was helpful and informative. The local beach was quiet and the sea crystal clear. A magical yoga holiday in a stunning location with an experienced and supportive teacher - I will be returning.Chris
I must also congratulate you on the fantastic choice of Dory Walker as our teacher - she is truly amazing. Incredibly warm and friendly, she made us all feel very welcome from the start and I felt really looked after as a pregnant lady too.Natalia
It was such a treat to be taught by Dory for the week. I appreciate and enjoy her fusion of styles, and also the chanting she effortlessly weaved into the lessons.Ceri
