Inversion
Foundations

Finally build a light, stable inversions practice
without guesswork, random drills, or relying on strength alone

Inversion Foundations LIVE

An immersive training space for yoga students and teachers who want to build these postures from the ground up, with structure, system and support.

Not through force
Not through rushed timelines
Not through fragmented tips

But through a method that actually makes sense in the body.

Lifetime Access‍ ‍‍ ‍Ongoing Training ‍ ‍Support Included

This is not your average inversions programme

This is not a collection of drills or short-term fixes.

It’s a space to understand the mechanics, method and deeper layers behind inversions and arm balances.

After two decades of exploring and teaching these postures, one thing is clear:

How you approach them changes everything.

Many commonly taught cues sound logical…

But often don’t set you up for success.

There is a big difference between effortful and integrated

Struggling doesn’t lead to progress.

Precision does.

WHAT YOU’RE REALLY LOOKING FOR

You’re probably not here just to tick Headstand, Pincha, Handstand or Crow off a list.

What you want is a practice that feels:

calmer
clearer
lighter
more stable
more trustworthy

You want to:

stop fighting your way into poses
understand what you are doing and why
feel that these postures are being built, not held together
trust your body more
stop guessing

And for many, something deeper:

confidence
freedom
self-trust

THE REAL PROBLEM

Most people don’t struggle with inversions because they lack strength.

They struggle because they’ve only ever been given fragments.

A cue here
A drill there
Five minutes at the end of class

So over time, it becomes a story:

maybe I’m just not good at these

But what if the issue isn’t you…

What if it’s the method?

I know this pattern well.
I spent years practising like this.
Getting stronger. Trying harder. Following what I was told.
And still feeling like something wasn’t quite clicking.
There was a point where I realised it wasn’t a lack of strength. It was that what I’d been taught didn’t match how the body actually works.
It wasn’t until the method changed that things started to shift.

BODY BEFORE SYSTEM

There are plenty of places that will give you drills.

Squeeze your core
kick harder
use the wall
build more strength

And yes, that gives something.

But often it doesn’t fully resolve the issue.

You can get stronger and still feel stuck.
You can practise for years and still know something hasn’t clicked.
You can be a yoga teacher and still know there are huge pieces missing.

This is not another programme built around random drills and commonly taught techniques. Because this is the exact reason many struggle.

The method here is built around the body, gravity, support, and how these postures actually work.

The body before the system.

THE SHIFT

Most people assume the problem is them.

Not strong enough
Not flexible enough
Too late
Too old to start building these properly

But more often than not, that’s not the issue.

The method is incomplete
The learning order is off
The support is missing

So people repeat the same patterns.

And the self-doubt grows.

But what if you’ve only ever been given fragments?

I’ve seen this shift for people at all stages of practice, once the method actually matches what the body needs.

From finally lifting the legs into Crow
Balancing with less effort in Headstand
Finally nailing your wall free Handstand
And floating the legs up in Pincha

This happens once the method aligns.

THE METHOD:
BALANCE IS BUILT BEFORE BALANCE

Most approaches try to get you into the pose…

and hope everything else follows.

This is backwards.

Balance is built:

in the preparation
in the foundations
in the movement

before you ever reach the centre point.

The 4 Vital Phases of Inversions

Preparation
So your body is ready before you go upside down. Preparation is about setting the conditions. Body. Breath. Awareness. Direction. Familiarity. Reducing unknowns. Think of this as the software, the roadmap, the principles, the GPS system.

Foundation + Activation
So the posture has something to stand on.
The mechanics and techniques.
What actually needs to switch on.
What needs to connect to the floor.
What creates support.
What starts the lift.

Movement
So lift becomes repeatable.
How the pelvis moves.
How the spine is supported.
How the limbs travel.
How the body stays organised under load.

Balance
So it becomes stable, not random
Physical, psychological and energetic.
The centre point of the posture.

The 3 S’s

System
a clear method and roadmap

Structure
the right order and progression

Support
feedback, community and guidance
Someone showing you what you can’t yet see for yourself.

HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS

This is not a course you complete.

It’s a space you work within, with full support and guidance throughout your inversion and arm balance journey, wherever you are at.

You can:

Start at the beginning and build step by step
Join live sessions when it fits your schedule
Focus on specific postures and return to foundations alongside

There is no catching up.

People join at different times.

You come in where you are, and the support meets you there.

WHY PEOPLE FEEL STUCK

Most approaches teach you to get into the pose.

So people end up:

kicking up
leaning forward
trying harder

Which leads to:

heavy legs
burning arms
short holds

Because they’re relying on effort…

instead of organisation.

WHAT CHANGES

When the method lines up:

  • legs lift without jumping

  • less pressure in the neck

  • less fatigue in the arms

  • balance becomes more consistent

Not because you got stronger.

Because the system is working.

The breakthroughs inside are incrediable

Removing fear and being wall free
Lifting the legs with ease
Balancing as straight as a spirit level
Flying in crow for the first time
Experiencing the lift mechanics that have evaded some people for years

All because of the system, structure and support

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with thousands of students and teachers specifically with inversions and arm balances.

And over time, you start to see patterns.

They’re the same across different systems, lineages, and levels of experience.

The biggest one is this:

Most people don’t have a strength or flexibility problem.

They have a method problem.

And when so many commonly taught approaches — in classes and even teacher trainings — don’t fully align with how these postures actually work, it’s easy to assume:

the issue must be me

That was my experience for years.

Trying harder
Getting stronger
Following what I was taught

And still feeling like something wasn’t quite clicking.

That changed around 15 years ago, when I stepped outside of that approach and started to see what the real issue was.

From there, I began teaching inversions outside of regular class formats.

Because one of the biggest problems is time.

Trying to learn these postures in a busy class, with a few minutes at the end, leaves too many gaps.

So I spent over a decade teaching workshops and day-long immersions.

And even then, something was still missing.

What was needed was:

a space without time pressure
a space that works for different people and different timelines
and a space with ongoing support

Because the most effective methods are built over time.

That’s where Inversion Foundations came from.

And what’s been powerful to see is this:

People who have struggled for years…

finally lifting up for the first time
removing the wall
staying longer with far less effort

Not because they suddenly got stronger.

But because they’re applying a step-by-step process, without gaps, with a method that actually aligns to the body.

If you’re ready to stop circling the same patterns…

and start building this properly…

I look forward to welcoming you inside this community.

Some practical questions…

Do I need to be able to do a headstand or handstand already?
Not at all. This is designed to support everyone — from complete inversion beginners to experienced practitioners — in building or refining a strong, sustainable inversion practice.

Is this suitable for yoga teachers?
Yes. You’ll gain a biomechanics-based framework that you can immediately bring into your classes — plus powerful tools to better support your students.

I’ve been practising headstand for years — will this still be relevant?
Absolutely. If your current approach feels heavy, inconsistent or unclear, this programme will help you rebuild from the ground up and unlock new freedom.

What if I’m not strong or flexible enough?
You don’t need extreme strength or flexibility. What matters is learning how to work with your body using smarter technique.

Do I need to attend live?
No. All sessions are recorded, and the structure works whether you attend live or by replay.

Is coaching included?
Yes.

Is the community included?
Yes.

What if I only care about one or two postures?
That is fine. Some people will focus on particular postures. Others will move through everything more sequentially.

What if I’m older?
That is not a reason this is not for you.

Is this only about inversions and arm balances?
No. It starts there, but it absolutely filters into the rest of practice and beyond.

How long do I get access?
Lifetime.

When are the live sessions?
We periodically rotate the live sessions to accommodate different timezones. We have a global community inside from all corners of earth

How long do we spend on each posture?
Simpler postures are covered in one session. More complex postures between 4-6 weeks. Session times range from 90 - 120 minutes

Can I start anytime?
Absolutely. The programme is designed to support you whenever you join.

HAS AGE BECOME PART OF THE STORY?

A lot of people carry the belief that maybe they missed the window.

That perhaps these postures were for them when they were younger.

That maybe now it is too late.

I don’t buy that.

Age changes things, yes.

But not in the simplistic, dismissive way it is so often spoken about.

Maturity brings:

patience
subtlety
intelligence
self-awareness
willingness to build something properly

Those are strengths.

So no, this is not only for the ultra-bendy twenty-something who can throw themselves upside down without thinking.

It is for real people.
Real bodies.
Real lives.
People who want a practice that can last.

IF YOU WANT TO BUILD THESE POSTURES PROPERLY…

If you want more than fragments…

If you want a method that is intelligent, body-first and actually sustainable…

If you want support, not just more information…

Then this is the place for that.

System. Structure. Support.

That is what Inversion Foundations is built on.
