Why This Training Is Different
Many people assume they are struggling with inversions and arm balances because they are not strong enough, not flexible enough, or simply not built for them.
In my experience, that is often not the real issue.
Many of the students and teachers I support have been practising for years. They have taken classes, workshops and trainings. They have often been helped to a degree.
But still, something has not fully clicked.
Why?
Because key pieces are still missing.
This training is here to change that.
Over these 3 sessions, I’ll show you why many commonly taught inversion instructions do not set people up for success, what is often missing from the foundations, and why balance is not the place these poses begin. You’ll take away new parts that will make an instant impact on your practice
You’re not broken. The instructions are.
If you’ve ever…
struggled to lift your legs off the floor without jumping or forcing
felt unsteady, even when using a wall
experienced neck pressure, discomfort, or fear in headstand
wondered why your inversion practice feels harder than it should
found your elbows slipping in Pincha no matter what you try
kept being told to “build more strength” but still not found the missing piece
felt like crow should work by now, but it still feels heavy
practised for years and still known something has not fully resolved
You’re not alone. And it’s not your fault.
Over 3 Live Sessions, We’ll Cover
Day 1: Why Many Inversion Methods Leave People Stuck
A myth-busting session on the common instructions that sound logical, but often do not line up with how these poses really work. You’ll begin to see why even committed practitioners can still struggle after years, and why the issue is often not you, but the method.
Day 2: The 4 Vital Principles of inversions
A deeper look at the 4 principles methodology
1. Preparation
2. Foundation / activation
3. Movement
4. Balance
You’ll begin to understand what actually creates lift, support and lightness, and why the quality of what comes before the pose changes everything.
Day 3: Why True Mastery Takes a Method, Learning Order & Time
The bigger blueprint. I’ll show you why these poses need to be understood as a connected whole, why fast-track approaches often leave key pieces missing, and why real progress comes through building things properly from the beginning.
The sessions are a mix of theory & practice
What Makes This Approach Different
Most inversion teaching focuses on the end result.
Get upside down.
Find balance.
Hold the shape.
But that is often where the problem begins.
In my approach, balance is not the starting point.
Balance is built before balance.
That means the pose is being shaped long before the moment your feet leave the floor.
This is why I teach inversions and arm balances through 4 vital principles:
Preparation
Preparing the actual conditions the pose needs, not just warming up.
Foundation / activation
Building support, direction and organisation in the right places.
Movement
Understanding how the pose is entered and developed with control.
Balance
Not as something you hope to find, but as something that emerges from what has already been built.
I also do not see these poses as isolated practices. They are part of one connected field.
Something you learn in one posture can often unlock another. This is why traditional comprehensive systems had a learning order, and why I teach these postures as a whole rather than as disconnected shapes.
If You’ve Been Taught Any Of These,
You’re In The Right Place
measuring the arms in Headstand by grabbing opposite elbows
using the wall as your main support
relying on Dolphin as the main way to build what Headstand needs
learning Tripod Headstand before building Forearm Headstand foundations
trying to keep little to no weight on the head in Headstand
being told to use a belt around the arms or a block between the hands to stop the elbows slipping in Pincha
being encouraged to “just kick up” and hope balance appears
These instructions are still widely taught.
But they often do not line up with the actual mechanics of the pose.
That is why so many people keep trying harder, when what they really need is a different method.
Who This Training Is For
students who are newer to inversions and want to build them properly from the beginning
practitioners who have been stuck or frustrated for months or years
teachers who want to understand what many commonly taught cues miss
people who have already taken classes or trainings but know something is still unresolved
anyone ready to unlearn ineffective instructions and discover what actually works
You do not need to already be “good” at inversions to get a lot from this training.
And if you’ve been practising for years, starting at the beginning is often exactly where the missing pieces are finally revealed.
